Rebekah Vardy has posed for a cosy snap with a Love Island star amid backlash for her involvement in the Wagatha Christie saga.

The WAG, who is married to Jamie Vardy, shared a sun-soaked picture of herself and Amber Wise just days on from jetting off on a plane ahead of Coleen Rooney's Disney+ series premiering. Alongside the selfie with Amber, Rebekah wrote: "I [heart emoji] you xxx." Amber then replied: "love uuu," with red heart emojis."

Mum-of-five Rebekah has been thrust into the spotlight this week following the release of Coleen Rooney : The Real Wagatha Story on streaming site Disney+. However, the 41-year-old seems to be ignoring the programme and is instead enjoying time with her loved ones.

This includes Amber, who is the daughter of football legend Dennis Wise. In the snap Rebekah shared of the pair, she styled her hair swept ack from her face as she donned a big smile. The friends have often holidayed together, with the Vardy clan joining Dennis Wise and his family for an evening out in Portugal back in August. She has previously dubbed them her "second family", with both Dennis and Rebekah appearing on I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! together in 2017.

Rebekah is yet to officially comment on the Wagatha Christie documentary, which details Coleen's efforts to find out who was allegedly leaking stories about her and her family to The Sun newspaper. The 37-year-old wife of Wayne Rooney limited who could see her personal posts in an effort to out the person who was selling stories.

The infamous Instagram post which followed lead Coleen to be dubbed Wagatha Christie in an homage to mystery writer Agatha Christie. And when asked if she hoped Rebekah would watch the show during the premiere in Liverpool, fellow WAG Coleen said: "That's up to her."

Rebekah denied the accusations and attempted to sue Coleen for libel in the high court. The high profile trial, which ended in July last year, saw the judge rule in favour of Coleen. And in the days since the documentary has aired, Rebekah has posted holiday snaps of her children seemingly ignoring the series, with one caption saying: "Living their best lives." And fans think Rebekah might have hinted at the stirred up drama with another post.

She donned a pair of over-sized glasses and bikini in the post, which included the words: "As am I." This was paired with a laughing emoji and two champaigne emojis. One fan shared in response: "Loving life whilst others are stuck in a Disney fairytale still reliving the past". A second social media user asked: "Are you going to make your own documentary?"
