Peter Andre was 'destroyed' by Katie Price argument that 'broke his heart'
TV Chef James Martin is this week joined by singer and West End actor Peter Andre for his hit Saturday Morning cooking show. The 50-year-old Mysterious Girl star just last week shared the happy news that he was expecting another baby with wife Emily MacDonagh.
Once born, Peter will become a dad for the fifth time - already sharing nine-year-old Amelia and Theo, six, with his doctor wife, and 18-year-old Junior and 16-year-old Princess with ex-wife glamour model Katie Price. The father found happiness with Emily, who is 16 years his junior, and married her in 2015 after dramatically separating from Katie in 2009, which he previously said had 'destroyed him'.
Peter, who rose to fame in the mid-1990s, said at the time that his then estranged wife was "breaking my heart" by taking their children - plus Katie's son Harvey from her relationship with Dwight York - back to the Maldives villa where they'd spent their 2005 honeymoon.
The couple were married for four and a half years"Being apart from my kids is just breaking my heart," he cried to the Daily Star at the time. "It's destroying me - I'm absolutely gutted." Katie and Peter met in the Australian jungle on I'm A Celebrity back in 2004, and married in a lavish ceremony just 19 months later.
They welcomed son Junior then later Princess Tiiamii, before splitting acrimoniously four and a half years into married life. Their last few days as a couple were captured at the time on their ITV reality show, Katie And Peter: Stateside.

The row that ended their relationship was caught on camera, with Peter later confessing on screen that he hated his wife. "I get it all the time on and off – but I love that girl," he said to-camera in an episode that was recorded three months before it aired.
"I love her incredibly but when I hate her, I hate her. Hate's a bad word – when I'm not happy, I'm very not happy." He went on: "Me and Kate were going through so much s*** last year. People knew we were arguing all the time. All this speculation about us and it made us argue more, it was a really, really bad time."
It was an unusually candid admission from Peter, who mostly stayed silent while their divorce unfolded. Katie went on to marry cage fighter Alex Reid a year later, before splitting in 2012. She then tied the knot with cheating Kieran Hayler in 2013.
Three husbands later, in April 2021, Katie then got engaged to Love Island star Carl Woods, just 10 months after meeting when he surprised her with a romantic proposal in her garden. They called time on their relationship but this summer, there were reports that they had rekindled their on-off romance and were planning a 'secret wedding'.
