Romeo Beckham and his girlfriend Mia Regan have shared their heartbreak after they suffered a tragic loss.

The couple's beloved dog Rufus sadly died. Sharing their sad news, the 21-year-old footballer took to his social media to mark the loss of their long-haired Dachshund. Posting a pic of the pup, Romeo said: "Rest in paradise lil man." His model girlfriend Mia, 20, also shared her own tribute to Rufus. She wrote: "Thank you for blessing all of our lives, the most precious pup, love you forever and ever. RIP Rufus xxx."

Rufus was Mia's family dog and the couple also share a Cockapoo called Simba. Mia and Romeo often shared pics of little Rufus to their followers. The pooch had expensive tastes as the couple even shared a snap of him wrapped up in a Gucci scarf as he rode in a convertible. Romeo's parents David and Victoria are also huge dog lovers and have looked after Simba along with their cocker spaniels Olive, Fig and Sage.

The family also have their own specially trained security dog called Logan. While Fig was originally eldest son Brooklyn's dog, the family took over care of the pooch when he moved to the US with wife Nicola Peltz. Simba was welcomed into the family last year and arrived in style with a plush Louis Vuitton dog toy.

Romeo shared: "New member of the family meet my new baby :)." Simba quickly got the approval of Victoria as she gushed: "He looks cute and has good taste!!!" The family recently all came together to mark the release of the four-part Netflix series detailing David's life. Romeo looked the image of his dad when he rocked up at the Beckham afterparty with girlfriend Mia.

Father-of-four David, 48, gave a a fly-on-the wall look at his remarkable life, career and marriage with Victoria. All of the couple's kids attended the premiere in London earlier this month, but fans did a double take when Romeo was papped outside The Twenty Two club in London. Sporting a brown vest, baggy brown cargo pants, sunglasses, white trainers and a shaved head, the budding footballer looked exactly like his dad, who was seen sporting an identical look in a throwback snap from the year 2000.

In the new Netflix series David talks about his pride as a father of Brooklyn, Cruz, Harper and Romeo, who's following in his dad's footsteps as a footballer. In June it was revealed Romeo had decided to sign to Brentford on a permanent contract, giving up the chance with play with Lionel Messi at his dad's Inter Miami club, for the sake of his relationship.

The pair have been dating for three years, having met in September 2019 and debuting their relationship on Instagram with a sweet snap together. Then during the Coronavirus pandemic and the UK lockdown they were separated until July 2020 when they were both pictured holidaying in Italy with the rest of the Beckhams.

However, in July 2022, Mia and Romeo called it quits due to their busy and conflicting schedules with Romeo continuing with his professional footballer career in the States and Mia busying modelling in the UK. Yet the reunited again and the pair now reside alongside Victoria and David in their £31million home in London's Holland Park, where they've taken over his older brother Brooklyn's living quarters that he once shared with his new wife Nicola Peltz.
