The official trailer for this year's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here has been released ahead of the show's launch next month.

After releasing a ten second teaser video last week, ITV have now heightened anticipation among fans by dropping a minute-long long trailer featuring hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly. The TV duo are seen in action pretending to be staff at luxury spa 'The Jungle Retreat' dressed in crisp white uniforms.

Fans of the show will be pleased to see the infamous eating trials appear to be back as Ant and Dec give a glimpse of the vile things contestants will have to eat in order to win dinner for their campmates.

In another part of the clip, the duo are pouring out maggots on to a bed, and pouring a grey looking liquid into a champagne glass in slow motion. Meanwhile a calm, sultry voiceover is meant to replicate an advert for a high-end retreat. It starts off saying: "Far,far away into the heart of the tropical jungle, dream beneath the stars, savour exotic cuisine unlike anything you've ever tasted before. Surrender yourself to the ultimate jungle experience, let us care for you beyond your wildest expectations. You deserve this, we'll give you the full celebrity treatment."

While the show appears to have everything under control as it counts down the days before the series starts, the Mirror has revealed that the ITV show is actually in chaos. It appears bosses are scrabbling behind the scenes to get the contestant line-up in check, as it has emerged a star has become a recent drop out.

Speaking on This Morning today, Gyles Brandreth let slip he has been contacted by I'm A Celeb bosses this week asking him to pack his bags. The Gogglebox star, 75, said he had flatly refused the offer, but admitted he thought producers must be 'desperate' as it had been so last minute.

He revealed: "I was asked again this year. What is interesting is that they're obviously talking to people very last minute because I was asked again only this week. So maybe somebody dropped out and they were desperate. They drop you in and you walk a long that little bridge." Gyles' fellow This Morning star Josie Gibson has also been rumoured to be on the upcoming series. It was reported she'd been banned from appearing on Strictly Come Dancing this year after being asked to free her up to star on ITV's reality series.

Other names linked to the show include Olivia Attwood - who was forced to pull out of the show last year - and former Prime Minister Liz Truss. Bosses are hoping for more fireworks in the jungle after Matt Hancock stole headlines last year as viewers were outraged by his appearance. The new series is now just weeks away with viewers going into meltdown last weekend over the first release of a ten second trailer of the new series.
