Katie Price's ex Alex Reid says he was 'lamb to the slaughter' at Vegas wedding
Alex Reid has said he was like a "lamb to the slaughter" at his Las Vegas wedding to Katie Price.
The 47-year-old said he was "swept away" by the sudden fame during his whirlwind romance with the former glamour model, 44.
Alex said he had been on the brink of the showbiz world for years as an MMA fighter and had brief stints in Hollyoaks and Tom Hanks movie Saving Private Ryan before meeting Katie - then known as Jordan - in 2009 shortly after her divorce from first husband Peter Andre.
They met in glitzy surroundings at Michelle Heaton's 30th birthday party at Cafe De Paris.
"All of a sudden I'm stratospheric everywhere because of my relationship with a certain person. I'm everywhere," Alex said on GB News.

Lasting a mere 11 months as husband and wife, it's safe to say the pair's union was nothing short of ill-fated.
After exchanging vows in a 20-minute ceremony at Las Vegas’s Wynn Hotel and Casino’s chapel, the pair celebrated their love for each other by heading to Spearmint Rhino strip club.
Flanked by her makeup artist Gary Cockerill and his partner Phil Turner – who helped Katie secretly plan the wedding while Alex was in the Celebrity Big Brother house – Katie was heard to shout: “We’re Mr and Mrs Reid, the haters are going to love this. This will show them.”
He said he was "swept away" by the sudden fame (GB News)Alex famously spent £60,000 on a ring and had to ring round friends in a desperate bid to borrow £30,000 to pay for it, knowing that Katie would want the best – or at least the most expensive.
Katie's puffball wedding dress set her back £2,000 and in true Pricey style, she topped her dramatic wedding look off with a dazzling tiara.
And the whirlwind wedding caused a rift with his parents - something that Alex deeply regretted.
“The wedding was whirlwind and a bit of a surprise,” he told The Mirror after their split. “Katie planned it all.
“My mum and dad – my whole family in fact – were a bit gutted. I managed to tell my mum in a quick call just minutes before, but no one else."

After he saw pictures of Katie and Alex playing in the park with his children Junior and Princess, he said he woke up covered in blood caused by a terrifying panic attack.

He told Piers Morgan's Life Stories at the time: "It killed me. That night I woke up about two in the morning, and I felt like I had been hit on the head with a hammer."
He added: "I started to panic. I blanked out and woke up with blood all over my face.
"It killed me and it felt as bad as having a knife to your neck."
Katie defended her right to move on, saying: "What am I going to do? Sit around and wait 'til he says 'you can have a boyfriend now.'
"He didn't complain when he got out the [ I'm A Celebrity ] jungle and was involved in my life and Harvey was there straight away and he was introduced to Harvey."
