Jose Mourinho considers rejecting Saudi Pro League again to re-join former club
Real Madrid are considering reappointing Jose Mourinho as manager.
Carlo Ancelotti is currently in charge of the Spanish giants but is expected to leave his position at the end of the season to become Brazil's new boss ahead of the Copa America. Mourinho is also set to be on the move next summer when his Roma contract expires.
Yet it will be difficult for Mourinho to accept the Real job, as he's set to receive the "biggest and craziest offer" in managerial history from the Saudi Pro League. He's already rejected one offer from the Saudis, who are determined to hire the successful coach.
Mourinho previously managed Real between May 2010 and June 2013, winning three trophies - including the La Liga title in 2012. That is viewed as one of his greatest achievements, as his team ended Barcelona's dominance under Pep Guardiola.
As reported by Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Mourinho's name is on Real's shortlist to replace Ancelotti. Brazil's president Ednaldo Rodrigues confirmed Ancelotti will become his country's next manager in July, even though Real are yet to announce his exit.

"His (interim boss Fernando Diniz) game plan is almost similar to that of the coach that will take over at Copa America, Ancelotti," said Rodrigues. "We don't call him an interim coach of the national team. He will come and make the transition in Brazil for Ancelotti."
Real aren't afraid to give managers a second opportunity. Thirteen managers - Jacinto Quincoces, Baltasar Albeniz, Luis Carniglia, Miguel Munoz, Luis Molowny, Alfredo Di Stefano, Leo Beenhakker, Vincente del Bosque, John Toshack, Jose Antonio Camacho, Fabio Capello, Zinedine Zidane and Ancelotti - have all coached Real on more than one occasion.

Ancelotti has enjoyed plenty of success since his return in June 2021 - winning the La Liga title, Spanish Cup, Spanish Super Cup, Champions League, European Super Cup and Club World Cup. That could persuade Real to give Mourinho another go.
Yet Mourinho may decide to continue his career in Saudi Arabia instead. It's thought the Public Investment Fund, Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund, is willing to give the Portuguese coach a staggering £104million two-year contract.
Mourinho said earlier this month: "Three months ago the idea of me leaving (Roma) was seen almost as a tragedy. During the holidays, I received the biggest and craziest offer a coach has ever received in the history of football.
"And I turned it down. I did so because I'd given my word to my players, I'd given my word to the fans and I'd given my word to the club owner. Three months later, it seems like I'm the problem. I can't accept that."
