Jaw-dropping photos show aftermath of scary truck crash with driver uninjured

A driver is lucky to be alive after their huge truck smashed into the back of a stationary tractor-trailer.

Jaw-dropping images show the driver's cab totally obliterated following the crash, which happened on the busy Interstate 77 near Charlotte, North Carolina on Monday. Huntersville Fire Department were among the emergency services to respond to the collision, which remarkably resulted in no one being injured.

The fire department shared pictures on social media which show the devastation of the crash. The front of the large truck is completely destroyed, with the bottom part exposed due to the force of the impact.

No one was injured in the collision and the driver of the truck walked away unscathed. Huntersville Fire Department explained: "One tractor-trailer, the red one, hit the rear of another tractor-trailer."

Locals were advised to expect delays in the area as there was "a lot to clean-up." "Thankfully (and luckily) NO injuries. Use caution in the area," the fire department added.

"The clean up of this crash is causing delays on I77...stay traffic aware and seek an alternate route if you can," a later statement read. Following the incident, a number of people took to social media to react to the jaw-dropping pictures shared by Huntersville Fire Department.

"I was going to go buy a lottery ticket, but this guy just used up all of the world’s luck," one wrote. Another said: "By the looks of that truck, it's hard to believe that no one was injured."

A third said: "You tell me how somebody walks away from that...ONLY by the GRACE of GOD!" A fourth added: "Wow that driver has a lot to be thankful for today."
