Sue Radford, the mum of 22 and matriarch of 'the UK's biggest family', has revealed that she plans to do “no spend January”.

Sue, who admits she has spent as much as £7,000 on Christmas presents for her children in previous years, announced she was tightening her purse strings at the start of 2023 to her 496,000 Instagram followers.

The 47-year-old posted on social media that her New Year's resolutions would include getting up at 6.30am in order to make use of her swimming pool.

The post's caption added: “And to care less about what other people think about us because as long as we are happy nothing else matters.

“And to do no-spend January, which funnily enough, everyone think is hilarious.”

No-spend January is a financial challenge where you aim to avoid any unnecessary purchases that would fall outside of your routine expenses.

If Sue is successful in taking part, it will mean a change of pace for the Radfords – whose Instagram and TikTok accounts have documented an extravagant festive season including an “Elf breakfast”, an ornate Christmas tree and a December getaway to New York, the Daily Mail reports.

Sue described herself as “incredibly lucky” after Noel gave her a new £30,000 Land Rover for her 46th birthday in March 2021.

Sue and Noel's children range in age from 32-year-old Chris to one-year-old Heidie.

The couple are also grandparents to over 10 grandchildren.

The family first came to prominence on the Channel 4 documentary 15 Kids and Counting in 2012, with the latest series 22 Kids and Counting airing last May.

The family run a pie shop, which saw a boom of business over lockdown.
