Married At First Sight UK fans fume Ella and JJ should be 'kicked off show'

Married At First Sight UK fans were left fuming as Ella Morgan and JJ Slater met up for a date behind their partner's back.

The pair have been flirting with each other over recent episodes, despite both being married to other people. Ella entered the experiment at the start of the series as the show's first transgender bride. She wed Nathanial Valentino and despite having a rocky marriage, the pair have remained on the show in the hopes of building a deeper connection. Yet Ella's head was turned when JJ rocked up to the E4 show after being paired with Bianca Petronzi.

It became clear both Ella and JJ fancied each other when all the brides and grooms were sent on a spa day. When asked who in the group they'd kiss, they both said each other. Tension has been building ever since and the pair have been secretly texting each other. Ella decided to come clean about being attracted to JJ to her husband Nathanial, however JJ is yet to tell Bianca. Yet Wednesday night's show saw Ella and JJ take their connection further by meeting up in secret.

JJ was playing pool when Ella went for a chat. Speaking to the camera, Ella confessed: “All I have been thinking about is JJ, I do feel a bit guilty because I know that it is wrong as I am in a marriage. I don't want to be that girl that hurts another girl. I don't want to be a homewrecker but I can't help how I feel.” While JJ admitted: “I have been thinking about Ella. I do feel bad but I can't wait to see her on my own. I do like her. I don't know what to do. I do feel a bit torn, I don't want to hurt anybody.”

The pair heavily flirted with each other on their mini date as JJ told Ella he is yet to be intimate with his wife. Ella shared how she likes to flirt with people, but added: "I feel like I cross a line with you, but I didn't know it was reciprocated." She continued: "I can't put my finger on it but there is this spark and it feels like more than flirting."

Viewers were far from impressed as they took to X - formerly Twitter - to share their thoughts. One said: "JJ and Ella should be kicked off the show. This isn’t Wife Swap!" Another added: "Thought Ella was a girls girl." Someone else commented: "'I don’t want to be a home wrecker' but I’m going to go on a date with someone else’s husband?" A fourth quipped: "Why bother saying you feel bad! Not stopping them meeting up in secret."

It comes after reports the pair hooked up behind their partners' backs in explosive scenes yet to air. Ella is said to have kissed JJ, resulting in Nathanial quitting the show. The dramatic revelations also follow JJ's split from his wife Bianca after the pair struggled to find a connection. Before reports of his infidelity came to light, Essex lad JJ confessed that Ella was "his type".

Following their explosive kiss, Ella and JJ were reportedly granted permission by the show's relationship experts to re-enter the series as a new couple, leaving their fellow co-stars in complete shock. Speaking about the alleged affair, a source said: "Ella loved the attention she received from JJ because it's what she missed in her marriage to Nathanial. After initially leaving the show when their marriages failed, Ella and JJ were given permission by the relationship experts to come back, which certainly ruffled feathers among the cast who have taken the process seriously from the beginning," reports MailOnline.

Meanwhile, Ella's ex Nathanial claimed he was forced into his partnership with Ella on the show, saying he eventually quit because he felt like he was being 'strangled'. He told the Sunday Mirror: "I felt I was being strangled and it brought out an ugly side of me. I knew I was going to tear the place down, so I quit." He also labelled the producers "manipulative", alleging his time on the show was a "complete sham".
