Proscenic have become a particularly popular household brand- and it's for all the (affordable) right reasons. The vacuum brand has also delivered some incredible home items in the form of air fryers, baby monitors, robot vacuums and more- and they all have one common factor- they do not massively break the bank.

Rival brands including Dyson, Shark and Ninja tend to be at a much higher price point, which to us seems ludicrous when very similar features are considered in most of their products.

I had to investigate. Here I look at the similarities between what the Proscenic P12 and the Dyson V12 have to offer.

Considering the Dyson V12 is a staggering £529.99, I thought it must have an untouchable feature list in comparison to other brands- and it seems I was quite mistaken. The cordless vacuum market is full of different variations of vacuums suitable for a range of owners- pet friendly, detangling, lightweight, high suction power.... the list goes on. But, what I really needed to find was what makes the Proscenic P12 a worthy investment and will it do the trick for keeping my house clean whilst in quite a mucky house move?

When opening the package, I quickly learned that it wasn't short of great features including 33 kPa strong suction, upgraded green detection headlights and an anti-tangle roller brush- The Dyson V12 also promises a 60 minute suction power which you could say is a huge selling point- but so does the Proscenic P12, while both also have a detangling brush head which really helps when coming to clearing it and emptying the brush between clean ups.

My partner will tell you, even on a day to day basis I malt like a Labrador, so to have a detangling brush is really handy for me giving the house a quick go over (my hair still fills the 1.2L dustbin in one go).

Also, with recently just moving into quite a larger property, I have noticed how easy this vacuum has been to navigate the dirt and grime build ups from constant sanding walls, wallpaper peeling and general mess from the kids- it's made cleaning up most evenings feel a doddle, while this could also be said for it's much more expensive rival.

The greenlight tool is massively welcomed in our home, with new, dark navy carpets throughout- it's great I can reach awkward spots of the house and find muck in the most unlikely places.

Both vacuums also feature a crevice tool which has been a godsend to me- the Proscenic vacuum has not only been an incredible essential while moving home, it has been such a good everyday, lightweight vacuum which you also feel offers these premium features at a bargain price.

Other alternatives for different budgets are out there too- and we have pretty much reviewed most top brands. From Shark's Pet Vacuum saviours, Karcher's trusted cleaner and our tech team swear by an incredible robot vacuum from Roborock- it really does just depend on what you need your cleaner mostly for.

Verdict

Since I have been deep cleaning my house using the Proscenic P12, I can quite confidently say I would recommend this over any cordless vacuum on the market. Mainly for it's incredibly affordable price point because the Dyson just has a stronger suction power so apart from than that, you are getting very similar features to the much pricier Dyson viral.

I have had a similar AEG cordless, a robot vacuum and a trustee Henry Hoover previous to this- and it ticks more boxes for me for it's incredible lightweight manoeuvring above all. It's certainly made cleaning my home a lot easier on my back!

Find the Proscenic P12 here on Amazon for £159.
