Matt Hancock slammed by James Argent over selfish antics on Celebrity SAS
James Argent has slammed former Health Secretary Matt Hancock over his treatment of their Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins co-stars.
Opening up about his experiences on the Channel 4 show, TOWIE legend 'Arg' explained that whilst Matt appeared "always pleasant" he was also "tactical and competitive" to the point of being selfish. The 35-year old said: "There was times where I was desperate for a bit of a banana, and he said that he didn't have any bananas left or something, and he was stashing little things for energy and stuff like that. I caught him with things like that."
Arg went on to admit he was one of the celebrities who struggled the most with the show's challenges, adding that it left him mentally broken. He singled out model Danielle Lloyd for praise, however, who he described as a "motherly figure" in the group and a "really lovely" character.
He told the Sun: "She was taking care of me a little bit, and she was being nice and trying to push me." Danielle, 39, was also aware of disgraced politician Matt's shenanigans, meanwhile, as she told the same publication: "There were times when it came to the food and he would get like a big mass of food and take more than one portion. I was fuming but didn’t say anything."
And comedian Zoe Lyons agreed: "There were times when I did look at his dish, and think, 'Yeah, yeah'. Nobody ever mentioned it, but over the course of the day you do start to notice people's traits." Earlier in the series Matt surprised viewers by revealing he used to be a big fan of Arg in TOWIE – much to the reality TV star's shock.
Escape to the Chateau's Dick and Angel give exciting news as fans beg for returnDuring a wholesome conversation between the pair, Arg quizzed Matt on his childhood, before asking him if he knew he was from Essex. Before he could even finish his sentence, however, Matt interrupted to reveal that he knows a lot about his co-star.
And when asked by Arg if he had ever seen the show, Matt gleefully exclaimed: "Of course I have."
