The Chase star Jenny Ryan heaped with praise after huge transformation

She's perhaps more used to receiving praise for her extensive general knowledge when appearing on The Chase but earlier this week, Jenny Ryan was bombarded by messages from her fans for something completely different.

Earlier this week, the quiz show star was met with heaps of praise by fans when she posted a picture of herself on social media showing off her incredible weight loss. The 41 year old TV personality attended the press night performance of west end's Sunset Boulevard at The Savoy Theatre and showed off a more slender frame as she posed alongside drag queen La Voix.

Dressed in a satin green wrap dress, she completed her look with a statement necklace and a pair of black rimmed glasses. Jenny looked incredible as she smiled for the cameras and she captioned her post saying: "Travelling in style."

And her fans wasted no time in sending messages of praise. One person said: "Looking gorge in that dress."Another added: "Aww beautiful photo of you both Jenny awww you look gorgeous xxxx." Her new look comes on the back of a post she wrote in 2021 when she claimed that she had been fat-shamed by her GP, which left her feeling upset.

At the time she wrote: "Isn't modern life great? Your GP can now fat-shame you over the phone, so you don't have to waste time travelling and sitting in a waiting room before being made to feel awful about your own existence!" She added that her GP said: " 'Do you know your current weight?... Oh... That's *significantly* lower than last time, well done. Not good enough though, is it?'"

And during the same year, Jenny's team was forced to hit back at a troll who claimed she was a "fat b***h." The troll had posted a cruel message online and in response, her team said: "Hi, thanks for getting in touch. Messages to this page are monitored by Jenny’s admin team. We can pass on messages or answer questions. Thank you for your message. You seem like a decent chap which obviously gives you the right to body shame and demean women. Your loved ones must be really proud of you!"

But this is not the first time that Jenny has proudly walked the red carpet to reveal a glamorous transformation away from the show. Swapping her sixties bouffant hairstyle, she revealed a more natural appearance when stepping out in 2021. She had changed her red hair colour for something far more subtle.

Back in August 2021, she took a snap of herself outside the Gillian Lynne Theatre after she enjoyed the musical production of Cinderella. And fans loved her new look. One person said: "Will you dye your hair red again?" And another added: "This should be your new profile picture."
