What is 007: Road to a Million about?

007: Road to a Million follows nine pairs of everyday people as they are unleashed on an epic global adventure through a series of Bond-inspired challenges, all vying for a shot at a life-changing £1m prize. Succession star Brian Cox fronts the show as The Controller, an enigmatic character who controls the fate of the contestants.

As the on-screen mastermind behind the game, The Controller dictates where the pairs go, what they must do, and sets their questions. In total, he has hidden 10 questions around the world for each pair, who each have a chance of winning the jackpot.

To reach these questions, the pairs face gut-wrenching Bond-inspired challenges that will test the limits of their physical and mental strength. Each question is worth an increasing amount of money – if answered correctly, they bank the cash and continue to the next question, but get it wrong and the journey is over.

The series will see contestants on a globe-trotting adventure to a host of locations familiar to Bond fans, with locales including the Scottish Highlands, Chile’s Atacama Desert, Jamaica, Venice and the Swiss Alps. The character's iconic Aston Martin DB5 will also make an appearance.
