Christopher Maloney shows off painful results of 24th cosmetic surgery
Christopher Maloney has revealed the painful results of his 24th cosmetic surgery.
The singer from Liverpool, who rose to fame in 2012 on the ninth season of X Factor, has had a nose job, cheek lift and hair transplant. Earlier this year, Christopher shared a selfie on Instagram after undergoing another cosmetic procedure. He's previously confessed to having "seven nose jobs and eight hair transplants".
The photo showed Christopher's face covered in blood, with the caption: "Think I've gone too far! Need a hug xx #bodydysmorphia #bodydysmorphia #bodydysmorphicdisorder #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth #positivity."
Since then, he's had more surgery in Poland, including his ninth hair transplant, eighth nose job, an eyebrow lift and a cheek lift. He explained that many of these procedures were to maintain or correct previous work.
Christopher who suffers from body dysmorphia disorder (BDD) told MailOnline: "I had a hair transplant because since appearing on The X Factor I had stress-induced hair loss. When my grandmother died it started to fall out pretty bad." His beloved Nan, Pat, who was at the centre of his X Factor journey died in 2019. She had suffered an epileptic fit at home and was then taken to Aintree Hospital in Liverpool. Sadly, the fit brought on a stroke but despite recovering from it, she later passed away with Christopher, his mum and his sister close to her.
Strictly's Molly Rainford and Tyler West fuel romance rumours while on tourChristopher plans to stop having surgery, but not before one final operation in Turkey. He told the ECHO: "I feel fantastic and I cannot wait to head to Bodrum for my final procedure". Just last month, Christopher underwent a procedure which was aimed at improving hooded or drooping eyelids and eye bags.
After travelling to Poland for the procedure, he said: "I think obviously people worry about coming abroad for surgery because it's a foreign country and they think people don't speak English, and the cleanliness and how good is the surgeon." However, he reassured fans by adding, "I personally researched Adam very thoroughly since 2014, since I have been coming."
Detailing his experience, he continued, "When you come off the flight your chauffeur picks you up and takes you to the apartments, which are fantastic by the way." He also praised the after-care services, saying, "You go for your surgery and you go for after-care every day, every morning at 8am to see the nurses and doctors and make sure there's no problems and no infections."
However, back in June, Maloney shared a distressing image of his post-op face on Instagram, where he expressed regret over his decision, stating that he'd "gone too far."
