Everything leaving Netflix in November including popular movie franchise

As Bonfire Night looms large on the horizon, Netflix is chucking a load of content on the fire to make way for the new stuff.

A whopping 33 titles, including blockbuster film franchises and fan favourites, will be axed in a few weeks' time, so be quick if you want to catch any of them! Perhaps one of the most shocking exits is the entire Hunger Games franchise ahead of the eagerly-anticipated prequel The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes that hits UK cinemas on November 17.

The hugely-popular series, made up of The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay parts one and two, stars Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, who voluntarily takes her younger sister's place in the titular contest: a televised competition where two teenagers from each of the twelve Districts of Panem are chosen at random to fight to the death.

Fans of Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall will be aggrieved to learn that 2008's Sex and the City: The Movie is also leaving the platform, as too is popular thriller Red Eye with Cillian Murphy and Rachel McAdams. Other films to fly the nest in November are much-loved musical Annie (1982) starring Aileen Quinn and glam rock indie flick Velvet Goldmine (1998), starring Ewan McGregor.
