Heidi Klum posts throwback swimsuit shots amid daughter photoshoot backlash
Heidi Klum gave her fans a blast from the past as she shared a series of stunning swimsuit snaps from her teenage years that her mother uncovered in the basement.
The former Sports Illustrated model took to social media this week to give her fans a look back at the start of her modeling career when she was just 19 years old. Heidi captioned the old shots: "Similarly to how I look at photos and videos of models for [‘Germany’s Next Top Model’], these photos were my application photos for my 1992 modeling competition,” she added: “My mom brought me a box of lots of old pictures from the basement.”
In the vintage Polaroid images, a young Heidi was seen hitting all her best angels as she rocked flattering one piece swimsuits. The young beauty was all smiles as she was seen straddling a chair sporting a multi-colored shiny one piece and posed with her hands on her hips in another flattering black suit.

Heidi has been strutting down runways and dazzling cameras for years kicking off her modeling career back in the 1990's. Heidi is famously known for her modeling, reality television appearances on Germany's Next Top Model and Project Runaway, and her time as a judge on America's Got Talent. Her daughter, Leni, followed in her mum's footsteps as she is also pursuing a career in modeling with the pair recently posing in a controversial photoshoot together.
Heidi Klum, 49, admits wanting fifth child and says she's 'waited a long time'Heidi, 50, is now heavy blacklash from fans after posing alongside her 19-year-old daughter in lingerie. Heidi first prompted criticism when she posed for images behind Leni in a modelling campaign last year for the brand Intimissimi. The photos later resurfaced in May with fans bashing the photoshoot for being uncomfortable and "inappropriate."
In an interview with the Daily Mail, Heidi spoke out about the lingerie shoot telling the news outlet: "To do photoshoots together with her [Leni] and just to see how she's just very comfortable and also comfortable around me even when we're doing underwear shoots or something like that." She added: "It makes me proud that my daughter is super comfortable in her skin also in front of me and around me because not every kid is in the world."
