Scott Thomas vowed to slow down after being left in a bloody mess following a weekend of sports hell.

The 35-year-old, who shot to fame on Love Island in 2016 with his fiery and explosive relationship with then-girlfriend Kady McDermott, told his followers exactly how he did it and says he'll start having to take steps to prevent a repeat. Scott, seen supporting brother Adam Thomas on Strictly Come Dancing this week, suffered a concerning injuring this weekend whilst playing padel with pals. Taking to Instagram, the former reality star shared a glimpse into what went wrong after trying too hard to come out on top.

"Can't script it!" he wrote on a video showing off his injuries. "Just about to Win the game as well - Probably another life lesson to slow down... I'll find the positivity somehow". The ex-Islander - who with Corrie star brother Ryan had been getting right behind their sibling on the BBC show- revealed the painful-looking cut in his eyebrow.

But that wasn't all. In another story posted on Instagram, Scott revealed that he'd damaged his legs and foot whilst going into battle in a weekend tennis match. Sharing a snap of his foot, topped with an ice pack, he wrote: "Rolled my ankle and done all my ligaments AGAIN this morning".

"After the best night of my life last night in London watching our Adam," he told viewers on the video. "I wake up this morning to play padel, I fall over, I bang my head, I roll all the ligaments in my ankle. Somehow, I'm going to have to find the positivity in this one, but I will. I will. Positive vibes."

The TV star has previously admitted that she didn't expect making such huge lifestyle changes to be so difficult. Posting a photo of his chat with BBC Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough in an episode of his 'Learning As I Go podcast earlier this summer, Scott explained his decision to go sober in the caption.

"I always say that being sober on a night out is like having a superpower," he wrote. "Back in my partying days, when I met someone who was sober on a night out, someone who was purely just enjoying life, I felt like they were a superhero. They were people that I looked up to and almost admired. I never thought for one second, I could ever be that guy.

"I needed alcohol for confidence, and it was almost by "escape" from life every single time I went out. However, through deciding to go sober I've started to become really comfortable with who I am, and I don't feel like I need to become someone else anymore to enjoy myself."
