Boxing fans believe Logan Paul should have been disqualified for punching Dillon Danis while he lay on the canvas.

Paul won the first five rounds against the MMA fighter before Danis attempted to choke out his opponent in the final session. Paul responded by wrestling Danis to the canvas before landing a blow. The fighters were separated as security guards flooded the ring and a brawl ensued with the fight called to a premature halt.

Paul was announced as the winner with Danis disqualified on his boxing debut. But some fans believe he was hard done to, with one saying: "[Logan] should’ve been disqualified. You wanna hit someone in the ground then do MMA, stop pretending to be boxers and fight people that’s in their own profession and let’s see what’s up."

Another social media user added: "He should have been disqualified, what the f***?" while another said: "Logan held him by his waist and put him on the ground. Everyone saw that." Another added: "How was Dillon disqualified but not Logan?"

Paul and Danis had been involved in a bitter build-up to their fight with Danis targeting his opponent's fiancee, Danish model Nina Agdal. And Paul celebrated in his dressing room with an impassioned speech as he said: "Thank you all so much for coming, we did it, I really wanted to knock him out! But I told myself, I wasn't going to go in there and fight with emotion.

"One thing we did do, is beat his f***ing b**** ass! He's put me through hell these last two months, me and my girl we got stronger than ever!" Paul had earlier dragged Danis' teammate Conor McGregor into their row when he said: "Dillon Danis is a coward, just a dirty human being.

"Dealing with a guy like that is not easy. He’s a coward, a true demon. He calls himself a real fighter? What we talking about? Hey Conor McGregor, I took your b*** put him on a leash and took him for a walk. He’s supposed to be good at jiu-jitsu, what happened? He tried the takedown I stopped that and I stopped the guillotine."
