Conor McGregor and Dillon Danis planned "secret move" for Logan Paul fight

Conor McGregor knew Dillon Danis was going to pull off a "secret move" against Logan Paul long before the MMA fighter was disqualified for attempting a takedown.

Danis took on Paul in a boxing fight in Manchester last night in the support act to Tommy Fury's controversial win over KSI. But Danis barely threw a punch over the five completed rounds before he attempted to take Paul to the canvas in the final session.

Security guards rushed into the ring as a brawl ensued before Danis was disqualified and Paul announced as the winner. Danis had been making his boxing debut having not fought for four years following a string of knee injuries and struggled to make an impact on the fight.

But it appears his takedown attempt was premeditated with McGregor taking to social media during the fight to say: "Watch out for the secret move, we gonna blow the socks off this arena and then I’m going sideways on the lambo at 220d." A photo also circulated of McGregor, a teammate of Danis', video calling his fellow MMA fighter.

After the melee had been controlled, Danis left the ring as Paul embarked on an emotional speech after weeks of tortured build-up. Danis had repeatedly targeted Paul's fiancee Nina Agdal who was ringside in Manchester and who had secured a restraining order against the fighter after he trolled her relentlessly on social media.

Paul also called out McGregor who has been a long-time target of his brother Jake. "Hey Conor, you see that?! I took your little bitch, put him on a leash and took him for a walk," Paul said. "Maybe Conor wants to stand up for his b****, I'll fight him next. Where you at little Leprechaun?"

Paul is more likely to return to professional wrestling with the WWE however, and called out Rey Mysterio. "I want that US title," he said. "Rey Mysterio, I already beat you once brother and I'm coming for that US Championship. Let's go!'" Mysterio took to social media to respond: "Did Logan Paul just call me out? I’m not hard to find homie. Every Friday Night on SmackDown."
