Reynolds' reaction to Wrexham's last-minute comeback against Neville's Salford
Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds could not contain his glee as his team dramatically snatched victory from the jaws of defeat against Salford City.
The Red Dragons looked almost certain to be heading for a bruising 2-1 loss against their rivals from Greater Manchester as the game ebbed towards stoppage time. However, Phil Parkinson's men would show they have lost none of last season's spirit to strike twice late on to grab all three points.
Unsurprisingly, the North Wales outfit's famously hands-on chairman was among those left in a jubilant mood as they completed a memorable comeback. Following an eventful day at the Racecourse Ground, the Hollywood star took to his social media to speak of his unbridled joy.
It was clear that the 'Deadpool' actor shared the elation many supporters inside the stadium would have felt as Wrexham notched a timely winner. In a post on his Instagram Stories page, he posted a snap from the game with the caption: "Apparently you can fit two goals, over 180 heartbeats, and a single 200 decibel scream into a single minute."

Of course, the world-famous superstar's words told of a game that proved to be a thriller befitting of a movie script as Wrexham rallied to down their League Two opponents. The away side, who are part-owned by former Manchester United legends Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs and David Beckham, had raced into a two-goal lead in the first half.
However, the Dragons would rally valiantly to reply quickly via Elliot Lee before the break to halve the deficit. From there, though, it looked as though Salford would be heading home with the victory before ex-Premier League mainstay Steven Fletcher equalized in the 87th minute.
If that wasn't dramatic enough, the finale would then take a final twist as Jordan Davies stepped up to win Wrexham the game just a minute from time. Now unbeaten in their last five games, manager Parkinson hailed his players following their latest result as they continue to settle into life back in the EFL.

"At half-time, I felt if we upped the quality in our play and decision-making that we’d have a great chance to go on and win the game. We had all the best chances and we felt if we got it to 2-2 then the momentum would be with us and we’d go and win the game.
"I owe a special mention to the subs because we needed a lift of tempo, energy and a bit of freshness, and they really gave us it. We put them under so much pressure in that second period and there was a spell where you thought whether the goal was coming.
Parkinson added: "We had some unbelievable chances and once it got to 2-2, the whole stadium lifted and it felt like there was only one winner. The teams which are ultimately successful are the ones with strong squads because you’re going to have injuries and suspensions throughout the season."
