Mum and daughter found decapitated after neighbours noticed ‘strange movements’
A mum and her seven-year-old daughter were discovered decapitated at home in a murder that has shocked their community.
Edineuza Carvalho Rodrigues, 24, and Lívia Thauane were found in their home in Brazil after reporting safety concerns.
Neighbours called police after noticing "strange movements" in the property in Casa Nova, Bhaia three days before Christmas.
The prime suspect for the gruesome attack is believed to be Edinueza's former partner, who is Lívia's dad, reports The Sun.
Edineueza reportedly broke up with him around 12 months ago, but they are said to have been in contact with each other from time to time.

The town, where around 75,000 live, have been shocked by the brutal murder.
Brazil ranks in the top 20 of the most dangerous countries for murder, with the homicide rate at 28 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants.
A Brazilian mother and her partner received a 129-year jail sentence 2021 for killing and decapitating her 11-year-old son outside Brasilia.
The woman is said to have barbecued her son's body after the murder.
After the sentencing, the boy's father, Maycon Douglas Lima de Castro, told local media: "It's still too little, but at least they will never leave the jail again."
