Tommy Fury avoids huge fine by making weight for KSI grudge fight
Tommy Fury has made weight for his fight with KSI, despite his dad John taking issue with the scales.
The professional boxer was requested to weigh in at 183lb for the bout with KSI, who jumped back up in weight for the fight after previously dropping as low as 180lb to face Joe Fournier. But fans were concerned when footage from the weigh-ins, which were held behind closed doors, showed Fury Sr venting his frustrations.
Fury and KSI were both scheduled to weigh in between a window of 10am and 1pm, with Dillon Danis earlier raising issue with the timing of Logan Paul's weigh-in. But video shared by boxing coach Gary Olive, who trains undercard fighter Tempo Arts showed the elder Fury expressing his concern.
"Get the f***ing scales sorted," John Fury can be seen telling someone in the video, which was widely shared across social media. "What the f*** is this?" The PBA later stated in a tweet responding to Danis that "all boxers weighed in," and added that there were "no rules breached".
KSI had been using the weight cut as a point of note in the build-up to the fight, telling his rival that he was "tiny" during pre-fight media events. Fury claimed during a video with Eddie Hall shortly after his win over Jake Paul in February that he had ballooned to over 16-stone, or 224lb while bingeing on junk food outside of camp.

If that number were true, he needed to lose 41lb in order to get down to the 183lb limit to fight KSI this weekend. But as with his previous nine fights, he got down to the weight and made the fight official this morning, with the ceremonial weigh ins set to kick off at 5pm this evening. Had he not done so, Fury would have been fined 20 per cent of his purse for every extra pound.
"Don't disrespect me," KSI has warned Fury before the fight. "If you try to disrespect me I'll disrespect you too. Joe Weller and both Logan fights everyone was doubting me and I love this, I love being the underdog. For me this is the most excited I've been for a fight since the Logan fight."
