Tommy Fury and KSI face off in cage as rivals are kept apart ahead of fight

KSI and Tommy Fury had to be kept apart by a cage at this afternoon's press conference for their grudge fight on Saturday night in Manchester.

The British duo will compete in the ring at the AO Arena in front of a sellout 21,000-fan crowd and an expected pay-per-view audience in the millions. But after their launch event fell apart in August with Tommy's dad John destroying the stage, extra measures were taken by promoters for fight week.

After KSI spat at his rival's dad John at the open workouts a day prior, Misfits Boxing and Wasserman decided to put a cage in the middle of their stage for both main events. First, Dillon Danis and Logan Paul had to be held apart, before KSI and Fury had the same treatment.

Paul and Danis had shared a bitter personal feud for years before going head-to-head, but it took until there were a few days left to fight night for things to heat up between the two Brits. KSI shouted down from a balcony as Fury was being interviewed following his workout, and spat at his dad John during an heated moment.

"It's great to see Tommy Fury doesn't have his dad holding his d*** for him," KSI joked while speaking with Fury, before his dad took aim at his rival from across the stage. The Love Island star told his father to keep going, before the Brit launched into a rant about his rival's sparring partners.

And more bottles were thrown as Danis returned to the stage alongside the elder Fury, before the fighters exchanged expletive verbal jabs. "If he comes in swinging it will be over in round one," Tommy Fury added. "I've trained like a demon for this man, I've sparred Tyson, he knows what's coming for him. 48 hours and it's f***ing over."

And when Tommy's dad John made his way into the cage, he attempted to punch through the bullet-proof glass keeping the two fighters apart. The press conference came to an end without Danis and Paul facing off due to a cut suffered by the YouTuber during a brawl where the pair threw bottles at one another.
