Lavazza machine rated 'excellent' by espresso drinkers cut in Amazon Prime sale

Prime shoppers are rushing to buy a Lavazza coffee machine that espresso lovers rate as one of the best makers for pod-to-cup drinks on the market. And as Amazon's sale season gets underway the retailer has added it to the top of their 'Big Deal Days' list.

The two-day sale, running across October 11 and 12, will see hundreds of home gadgets, kitchen worktop accessories and lifestyle products cut in price to mark the run-up to Black Friday including a range of pod, bean-to-cup and instant coffee makers. Rated as an affordable, yet quality, coffee maker the Lavazza A Modo Mio Jolie was already considered a top buy for the price, but now home baristas can get even more off.

The maker, which many rave about due to its 'Italian style coffee', is now just £47.49 as Amazon slashes the price down from an original £95. And it's currently one of the only retailers to do so as the Lavazza store and Lakeland have stuck to its usual price, just shy of £100.

As a capsule pod machine, the Lavazza A Modo Mio is compatible with a range of strengths, from the strongest espresso to latte, cappuccinos and flavoured blends, which users can interchange depending on the capsules they pop in. There are some high-tech features too including an automatic shut-off mode, backlit buttons and silent dispensing.

And if the price drop isn't enough to sway coffee shoppers into adding it to their Prime basket, its long list of praising reviewers may influence intrigued customers. As previous shopper's experiences go it continues to be a top choice for coffee lovers on a budget.

As one review said: "I've had quite a few coffee makers and this little star is the best so far. It makes an excellent cup of coffee and is neat and compact enough to put away in a cupboard if needed, or down the side of a kitchen work space. The price is great too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this coffee machine."

A second shopper raved about its pod range as they said: "The Lavazza coffee pod machine is brilliant, it is very quick and simple to use and keep clean, the choice of coffee is many, but my favourites are Espresso Passionate and Lungo Dolce coffee both of which are dark, strong and taste delicious."

Coffee machines by Lavazza, Nespresso and Philips are all discounted

Speaking of pod coffee machines, the Lavazza model isn't the only option reduced in this week's sale, as Nespresso and Philips models also make an appearance. The Philips L'OR BARISTA machine is now reduced from £109.99 to £49.99 - a similar price to Lavazza's machine.

Whilst the Nespresso Citiz Automatic Pod Coffee Machine with milk frother is reduced to £199.95, from an original £225 - a brand Mirror Choice frequently recommends for its savings on at-home coffee pods.
