Big Brother star caught in furious Come Dine With Me row as TV past exposed

Big Brother's Farida appears to be a fan of reality TV with her previous appearances resurfacing.

Having recently appeared on Blankety Blank, Farida made her grand entrance into the Big Brother house during Sunday night's episode which was recorded on Saturday. But that isn't the only show Farida has been on as it has now emerged that she previously appeared on Channel 4's Come Dine With Me.

During the episode which aired on August 13, 2009, Farida, 50, had hoped to immerse her dinner guests into Indian culture but she later found herself clashing with one diner. The synopsis for her episode reads: "It's day one of the competition in Wolverhampton and bubbly beautician Farida Khalifa is planning to immerse her guests in authentic Indian culture."

But dinner guest Michael wasn't too impressed and scored a mediocre seven for the evening. Upon reflection, he said: "The evening lacked a wow factor... and because of the lack of alcohol for the guest." During her entrance into Big Brother, Farida noted that she does not drink alcohol, is a devout Muslim and prays five times a day.

As the episode drew to an end, Farida and Michael bumped heads as tensions started to run high. Having appeared to voice her opinion on something, Michael replied: "How many kids have you had? You say what my sister, you've never had a kid in your life."

Farida's appearance on Blankety Blank, a BBC game show where contestants attempt to match as many of the six celebrity panellists as possible in a series of fill-in-the-blank statements, didn't go unnoticed either. After making the connection, viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to point out where they knew Farida from.

She also recently appeared on Blankety Blank (ITV)

One user said: "Farida was on Blankety Blank last week #BBUK," while another pointed out: "Is that Farida the same make-up artist who was on Blankety Blank the other week?#BBUK."

"Farida does Make-Up on Tik Tok.....She was also on Blankety Blank Not Long Ago...#BBUK", one viewer said and another fan commented: "Wasn’t Farida just on Blankety Blank like 2 weeks ago???? #BBUK" One more added: "Wasn’t farida on blankety blank and popular tiktokker ? #BBUK."

Farida is just one of 16 housemates who entered the programme five years after it last appeared on screens after Channel 5 dropped the series due to dwindling viewing figures.
