Hugh Jackman 'hiding his sadness' after divorce from Deborra-Lee Furness
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness split just weeks ago, but the Wolverine actor is trying to put on a strong persona.
He posted photos on Sunday posing and smiling with his friends, sharing a barbeque alongside guests. However, body language expert Judi James believes that underneath it all, he's not as happy as he seems. She told The Mirror: "It looks like an overkill gesture then, and the more we exaggerate a smile or laugh the more we are usually hiding much sadder emotions."
It appears that the actor is doing everything he can to get a break from the sadness, staying busy and distracted in whatever way he can. Recently, he was even spotted with Taylor Swift catching a football game.

At first, it may look like Hugh is enthusiastically happy, but Judi James said otherwise. She explained: "The eyes are narrowed and crinkled, with some extreme crinkling around the bridge of the nose, which should suggest a congruent, authentic smile, but his mouth is open with a straight display of upper and lower teeth in a symmetric gap and his forehead is static here."
Hugh Jackman and wife Deborra-Lee hold hands as they enjoy night out in ParisAccording to her, his public appearance is much more "a display of bravado" rather than genuine "fun". Try as he might to "look jolly", it's just not working out for him. That being said, Judi commended Hugh for his attempt at 'signalling he's having a great time relaxing'.
His recent excursion with Taylor was just another instance of a post-divorce night out. Alongside Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sabrina Carpenter, and another recent divorcee Sophie Turner, he spent his time in a lavish friends and family box suite overlooking the field. Taylor brought her friends out to support her new romance with Travis Kelce who took the field for the Chiefs against the Jets.
Taylor has been heavily mixing her friend groups lately, seeming to bring together a strong base of individuals who have supported her over the years. Hugh was among them, first publicly meeting Taylor about nine years ago backstage at a Broadway play. Since then, the two stars have formed a solid friendship and remained close.
