Strictly crew demand star cover up as skimpy outfits spark filming chaos
Producers on Strictly Come Dancing are struggling to film Layton Williams as his clothes are too revealing.
The show is famous for the contestants’ skimpy outfits, so it rather surprising that Layton who performed in drag as part of Movies Week, says he has been asked to cover up in rehearsals. Actor Layton, 29, who danced the Viennese waltz on Saturday dressed as Grease Pink Lady Betty Rizzo, said: “I keep getting told by the camera crew to wear more clothes.
“In the training room, they’re like: ‘We’re seeing a lot of things.’ But this is how I feel comfortable. I’ve got my jock strap on, it’s the BBC. But everything is nice and tight and together.”
Tonight Radio DJ Nikita Kanda, 28, became the second contestant to leave the series, after facing Love Islander Zara McDermott in the dance off. All four judges opting to save Zara, 26, noting Nikita made mistakes when she and Gorka Márquez, 33, performed their jive to Kids In America from Clueless.
A devastated Nikita said: “I don’t want to leave yet, I feel like I’ve let him down. This has been a dream come true.” But Gorka reassured her: “You should be very proud of yourself, you have never let me down.”
EastEnders' Jake Wood's snap of son has fans pointing out the pair's likenessMeanwhile, Layton has ruled out succumbing to the Strictly curse – as his dance partner, Nikita Kuzmin, 25, is straight and in a relationship with Australian TikTok star Charlie Backshall. “I know he doesn’t want me so that makes it so much easier,” he joked to Alan Carr on his Life’s A Beach podcast, out today.
