Pizza Express announces big change to iconic dough balls for first time ever
One of the best things about Christmas is the range of food that we can indulge in - a time when supermarkets and restaurants go all out to bring us some festive treats.
Well-loved pizza chain Pizza Express has revealed they have also joined in on the festive fun - and have given their iconic dough balls a Christmassy twist and have launched their Dough Balls in Blankets. For the first time ever, the popular menu item will be wrapped in a crisp pancetta, with sage, and a sprinkle of Gran Milano cheese - all finished off with a honey mustard dip.
The much-loved dough balls have had a festive twist this year (Pizza Express)If you have more of a sweet tooth, the dough balls are also available as a sweet treat too. Available as a dessert - "For a sweet take on the classic starter, customers can choose to indulge in a dessert of Loaded Snowball Dough Balls, which are returning better than ever, now being topped with white chocolate sauce, dusted with cinnamon and icing sugar, with a vegan version also available," PizzaExpress confirmed.
They can also be shared, as there will be the Snowball Dough Balls Christmas Tree dessert too, served with extra white chocolate sauce and a salted caramel dip. However, not to worry for dough ball fans who prefer the classic version - they will still be available too.
