I tried a cleaning tool that comes with a gemstone - it works wonder on my skin

Cleansing brushes have existed in the market for so long, that they have improved a lot to tackle people’s skin concerns - and PMD Beauty stood out with its innovative technology.

The American beauty tech brand has combined ancient healing powers of gemstones and latest technology to create the next-level cleansing brush – the Clean Pro Rose Quartz.

It won the “best tool and device award” in 2019 and has since made one of the brand’s best-sellers ever since. Built to cleanse, firm and tone the skin, the pink gadget has silicone brush head on one side and a rose quartz stone on the other side.

It seems like a brilliant idea to have multiple functions in one tool and I decided to test it out and see if it does what it claims.

How does it work?

The Clean Pro RZ comes with a plastic case and a charging cable. With four modes to choose, the tool cleans with 7000 vibrations per minute, an ideal frequency to lift and firm the skin. It also has a button at the back to switch on ActiveWarmth heat therapy, which activates your skincare by assisting with deeper absorption.

The rose quartz stone has elements of magnesium, iron and oxygen. It can be used to reduct inflammation and tension on skin.

I used the silicone brush for deep cleanse and the rose quartz for face massage (Tiffany Lo)

Result

As the device works best for deep cleansing, I decided to first remove my makeup using Stylpro’s Easy on the Eye cleanser and a deep cleansing soap bar.

Then I put my Aesop In Two Minds Facial Cleanser on the Clean Pro and ran it under the tap for a second before I switched it on. I picked mode 1 for gentle cleansing and I was pleased that the buzzing was not too overpowering.

Unlike other brands, PMD Beauty’s silicone brush head never needs replacement, which means you won’t have to worry spending a fortune on accessories.
