Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans and husband ‘facing child neglect investigation’
Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans and her husband David Eason are reportedly being investigated by police over suspected child neglect.
The 31-year-old reality star reported her son Jace, 14, missing last week, and the teenager was eventually found safely by officers. However, it was the third time in weeks he had run away from his home the couple are now reportedly under investigation by police officers after Jace allegedly told officers that David, 35, had assaulted him. The youngster was found with bruises on his neck and arms, and Child Protective Services has allegedly obtained footage from a Ring surveillance doorbell which claims to show an altercation involving Jace.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that after Jace’s third attempt to run away from home, he was found with injuries that allegedly stemmed from an altercation at someone else’s home, and police are in possession of the camera footage from the Ring doorbell.

The current investigation into alleged child neglect could lead to serious charges if there is any evidence of physical abuse. Jenelle, who shares Jace with ex-partner Andrew Lewis, has had sole custody of their son for years, and took to social media after Jace was found to slam her estranged mother, Barbara Evans, who accused David of abusing his stepson.
Teen Mom's Catelynn Lowell snubs reunion after slamming 'heartless' sister Sarah“This isn’t about David whether you want to blame him or not. My mom says a lot of untrue things lately to everyone about me but wanted me to have custody? Imagine what you don’t hear from my side,” she wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Monday. She claimed her mother has not tried to be in contact with her or her three children since July, and fumed: “I feel now she’s using police to falsely report just trying to make us look bad as a family. There are multiple people involved in this situation and they know the truth, and so does God.”
The former Teen Mom star said her son’s tearaway antics were simply typical teenage behaviour, and said he was upset after they had taken his phone away. “Jace got in trouble at school, we decided to take his phone away and that’s when he decided to run off,” she explained. “Jace is a good kid, and we’re not dealing with anything that most families don’t deal with while raising children.”
In a post on her Instagram Stories, Jenelle denied Child Protection Services were involved, and fired: “IDK (I don’t know) why there’s rumours going around that Jace was removed from my custody because that is not true. Stop making up accusations about my family!” Jenelle then launched into a rant as she hit out at a fan who had said she had “literally lost her son again”, and said: “You have no idea what you’re talking about. You don’t know about any details of the situation. My son was never taken from my custody. I still have primary custody.” A rep for Jenelle has yet to comment on the reports.
