Inside Anna Wintour's list of 'enemies' after she brutally snubs Kim Kardashian

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour has a list of celebrities that aren't exactly her favourite and who she's previously butt heads with or straight-up snubbed at events or functions.

Most recently, Anna brutally snubbed Kim Kardashian while in attendance at Victoria Beckham's Paris fashion week show. The fiasco started when Kim delayed the show by 47 minutes, arriving late to the Karl Lagerfeld's former 18th-century Parisian townhouse and bringing the production to a halt.

When she finally arrived, in a gorgeous light pink satin gown, Kim awkwardly shuffled toward her seat before stopping to greet long-time friend David Beckham. The pair exchanged a warm hug while Kim totally ignored Vogue editor Anna.

Anna, though, didn't seem to care or notice at all. She kept her arms crossed and stared off into the distance, keeping her exact facial expression hidden behind a pair of dark tinted sunglasses.

It isn't the first time Anna has snubbed a Kardashian. It was believed that Kim's sister Khloe was "too C-list" for the annual MET gala, which is headed by Anna. When Khloe missed the event again in 2021, she responded to one fan who dared ask her directly if the persistent rumours were indeed true and she had been blacklisted by fashion supremo Wintour.

"Absolutely NOT true," hit back a defiant Khloe. Despite not actually making it to the event in previous years, Khloe and sister Kourtney have both showed their support to their siblings who did merit a place on the guest list.

Former editor-in-chief for British Vogue, Edward Enninful's relationship with Anna reportedly took a blow after a source told The Sunday Times that Edward wanted to become the editor of US Vogue one day, which led to the rumoured riff between the two. Earlier this year it was announced that he would step down from the role after six years.

His predecessor, Alexandra Shulman, shared in The Mail Plus that Edward was an "international influence" but while he was part of Vogue he was "ultimately always playing second fiddle to Anna Wintour". Alexandra continued, saying that his departure was due to "an avalanche of rumours of rifts with Wintour".

She added: "But whether they are true or not, the announcement that he will be replaced by an ‘editorial content director’, reporting to a multi-step ladder ending in the New York office, delivers a death knell to all that I treasured about the job.”

Similarly, Tim Gunn felt the wrath of Anna after he shared in his 2010 book that Anna was carried out of a New York fashion show rather than take an elevator or walk. The book said: "We ran over to [an] elevator bay to see if Anna would deign to get on. Then…what did we see but Anna being carried down the stairs…bodyguards had made a fireman's lock and were racing her from landing to landing."

Once the book was published, Tim said that "all hell broke loose" and her office "insisted I print a retraction. Tim stood his ground and the relationship was never mended. In 2014, he told Page Six that: "I don't look her in the eyes, because I will be turned into stone."

Though Anna never publicly commented on this, a year later, Tim told Meredith Viera that he admired the editor. "I have huge respect and regard for Ms. Wintour’s charitable work. It’s wonderful and my hat’s off to her but I just wish that she navigated the world with a little more respect for other people."
