Jake Paul has shared a poster for his dream fight against Canelo Alvarez after watching the pound-for-pound great defeat Jermell Charlo on Saturday night in Las Vegas.

The YouTube star has been calling for a showdown with Alvarez over the last few years, and believes that his massive size advantage could circumvent the chasm of skill between them. And he has today shared a poster for the fight, which he has insisted will eventually happen, in an effort to speak the event into existence.

Paul wants the fight to take place at the new 20,000-seat Sphere in Las Vegas, which was launched last week with a U2 concert and features elaborate LED lights to create a stunning visual. The poster also made the audacious claim that the fight would be a three-way simulcast between DAZN, Showtime and ESPN.

Paul captioned the poster "Logan fought Floyd and I will fight Canelo and show the world why I’m the greatest sports story ever. See you soon Saul." When ESPN Ringside posted that Paul was "trying to speak a Canelo fight into existence," the social media sensation replied by tweeting: "Exactly. I dreamed this two years ago and one day the dream will turn into reality."

He also compared his eventual meeting with Alvarez to the 2017 crossover super-fight between Mayweather and Conor McGregor, noting that he will finish the super-middleweight champion. "I’m 26," he wrote. "A 29 year old McGregor fought a 40 year-old Floyd and got stopped. I will fight a much younger Canelo and stop him. Mark this X."

Paul is currently 7-1 as a professional, and has amassed most of his wins against MMA fighters making the transition to boxing late in their careers. He has dropped all seven of his opponents, including Tommy Fury who handed him his sole defeat back in February when they fought in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Alvarez is arguably the greatest pound-for-pound boxer of this generation. Holding a record of 60-2-2, with those two defeats coming to Mayweather and Dmitry Bivol. He is the undisputed super-middleweight champion, and has held belts all the way from welterweight to light-heavyweight.

He has previously laughed off Paul's attempts to ever challenge him, but refuses to rule out a fight in future when he is retired from the sport. Speaking on The Breakfast Club in August, he said: "Yeah, maybe, but not right now... For me, not right now, because I'm chasing other things in my career. But you never know, maybe later [after retirement]."
