Ferne McCann 'live streaming next birth' after 'euphoric' experience with baby
Ferne McCann revealed she plans to 'live stream' her next birth after having a positive experience with baby Finty Francis Haines-McCann.
The former The Only Way Is Essex star welcomed Finty in July, with the birth being filmed for her show, Ferne McCann : First Time Mum. Ferne had a home birth and revealed at the time that it didn't 'go to plan' but she was still excited to share the experience with her fans.
And now, she confessed filming the birth wasn't an easy decision as there was a lot of "back and forth". Despite the difficulties, she wants to film the next birth as she wants to share how "beautiful and positive" it can be and said she wanted others to know that positive birthing experiences are possible.
"I’d 100% live stream my next birth," Ferne shared to OK! "I just feel so passionate about sharing how beautiful and positive birth can be. You can be in control. I don’t want to come across as smug, or for people to think, ‘It’s alright for her’. But in the same breath, I don’t want to not tell my story because of the fear that people might think that way of me."
The TV personality's water birth at home wasn't what she first expected. Ferne's fiancé Lorri Haines, 32, who was at the birth, said that Ferne is "a warrior" and that "she made the birth look easy". After revealing their baby's name, Ferne explained the special meaning of it for the couple.
TOWIE's Chloe Brockett makes cheeky dig at Saffron Lempriere during filmingFerne said that the name Finty has been on her baby name list since she was pregnant with her five-year-old daughter Sunday. She explained that she doesn't know where she got the name from but when she searched for it online she found that it is Judi Dench’s daughter’s nickname.
Ferne said: "I just feel so connected to the name – she came out and she was just Finty. I think she sounds like a character out of Bridgerton." Meanwhile, her middle name Francis is a nod to Ferne's grandad's name. Ferne is also a mum to Sunday, who she shares with jailed ex Arthur Collins. Ferne was pregnant when she split from Arthur after he was arrested for throwing acid into a crowd in an East London nightclub in 2017.
Since then, she has since raised Sunday by herself, however, in the last year, she met and fell in love with Lorri. Lorri and Ferne are currently planning their wedding after getting engaged last year.
