A pretty, long-printed dress has recently been reduced by a staggering 87% at Zara - but for some shoppers, the bargain has been overshadowed by an awkward photoshoot blunder. The boho-style dress in question, which is now £9.99 reduced from £79.99, is modelled on the website by a woman standing beside a pool, drenched in sunlight as she lifts the front of the frock.

At first glance, it's a lovely, summery scene, with a very decent bargain to boot. But shoppers simply can't get over the unfortunately placed stream of pool water positioned between the model's legs, and now claim Zara is 'taking the p***'.

The dress has now been featured on the parody Instagram account Awkward Zara, where followers have joked that it's really 'no wonder' that the dress has been 'so heavily discounted'.

The post, shared via the account name @awkwardzara, was given the following caption: 'Hey look, if you gotta go, you gotta go', in relation to the awkwardly positioned trickle of water.

Followers of the humorous account have been left positively howling, with one person declaring the photo to be 'absolutely hilarious and disturbing'.

Another wrote: "Zara has really gone potty. This takes this p***!"

A third individual chuckled: "Laughing so hard I'm also standing near the pool peeing myself."

Commenting on the model's expression, a fourth person laughed: "That's the face of someone who knows they are going to end up on awkwardzara."

Awkward Zara regularly keeps followers amused with humorously captioned posts. Recent entries have included a photo of some 'denim arm warmers' and a crochet bucket bag many people thought looked more like a freshly baked loaf of bread.

The Mirror has reached out to Zara for comment.
