Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville’s wife Lulu 'in tears in pub' following split
Downton Abbey star Hugh Bonneville wife Lulu was reportedly seen in tears while at the pub with her friends following the shock news of their split after 25 years of marriage.
On Saturday, the couple, who tied the knot in 1998, confirmed that they have now gone their separate ways after they were pictured smiling together just eight days ago about a marriage ceremony.
Hugh, 59, and Lulu, 55, marked their 20th anniversary five years ago when they renewed their vows in Las Vegas' Graceland Chapel. Five years later, Hugh's spokesperson has confirmed they are no longer together.
A source close to the couple said of their split: "It’s a shame as locally they were known to be a very sociable couple. Hugh has been away from home filming a lot this year. He has lost a bit of weight this summer, he was looking trim, tanned and relaxed," they told The Sun.
After news broke of their split, Lulu was reportedly seen weeping while discussing the end of her marriage with her friends as they paid a visit to a local pub over the weekend. According to The Sun, Lulu was overheard 'loudly pouring her heart' out in a pub near the former couple's marital home in West Sussex.

Hugh and Lulu got married in November 1998, where Hugh confessed afterwards that he was stunned that his finally got a wedding day after fearing he would never find love. After his vows, he said: “I thought I would be a bachelor for years. I’ve often been the guy who doesn’t get the girl.”
The former couple have an adorable origin story to their romance after they first met as teenagers. Hugh and Lulu met as teenagers, but they lost touch. They finally sealed their love in their 30s - with a little help from Hugh's mother, Patricia.
Hugh previously said: “Lulu was running a marquee company . . . my mother rang her to hire some chairs or something and said, ‘Do you remember Hugh?’ and that was how we reconnected. It did infuriate me that I had to give full credit to my mum for reintroducing us.”
They lived near each other in England’s West Sussex. They previously explained that they have a lot of history together and don’t let the glitz of Hollywood affect them. Hugh and Lulu share one son, Felix, who is 22.
