Superstar Cher plans Las Vegas gigs to plug her new festive album
Cher is set to wow Las Vegas with her fourth Sin City residency as she marks the release of her upcoming album.
The superstar delighted fans when she revealed her next offering, called simply Cher Christmas, is due to drop this month. And sources say the pop legend is poised to announce a series of shows in Las Vegas to promote it. It will be the first time she has performed live since her Here I Go Again tour in 2020. And she is said to be thrilled that fans will have a chance to hear her festive tracks live.
One source says: “Cher is delighted to be playing in Vegas and the shows are expected to be some of the hottest tickets of the year. She’s an absolute icon – fans will be desperate for the chance to see her live again. There might even be some guest appearances, as the album has a lot of duets with different artists, who jumped at the chance to be involved.” The star, whose first Vegas residency was 44 years ago, told ITV ’s Good Morning Britain she was “really proud” of the record.
She promised: “This is a Cher Christmas album, it’s not your mother’s Christmas album. I’m really, really excited because there are millions of people on it.” Insisting she could not yet reveal her singing partners, she added: “They’re special – all of them.” Her past albums have featured very few duets but given the success of collaborations such as her utterly brilliant cameo in 2018’s Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, we expect this to be epic. That sound you hear is us cancelling our Christmas breaks and booking flights to Vegas instead.
