A podcast host has said that Taylor could be using her romance with Travis to deflect from her Matty rebound

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are rumoured to be dating, but now it has been claimed that the hitmaker could be using the romance to distract from her "problematic" fling with British hunk Matty Healy.

Back in April the world was stunned when Taylor, 33, split from her longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn, 32. The couple started dating in late 2016, with their romance coming to an abrupt end before the singer was seen out with Matty Healy of The 1975.

At the time, everyone was stunned by the couple's alleged fling, with Matty's behaviour questioned and grilled. One problematic occurrence that sparked concern was when he laughed on a podcast when the host mocked Chinese accents and called Ice Spice an "Inuit Spice Girl" and a "chubby Chinese lady".

Ice Spice is a collaborator of Taylor's, with the pair working on a remix for her Karma track from Midnights. Matty did publicly apologise to Ice Spice during a concert. And earlier this month Ice Spice told Variety how she was "so confused" by Matty's remarks, but noted how he said sorry "a bunch of times".

Kamie Crawford, who hosts the Catfish podcast, has now revealed that she believes the Anti-Hero singer's newfound romance with Kansas City Chiefs' tight end Travis, is being used to her advantage and in order to distract from her fling with Matty earlier this year. Page Six exclusively revealed that she said: "The PR for that went really bad and the PR for this is doing really well," Kamie revealed in an upcoming episode of the hit show.

She went on to add: "I used to love The 1975, still love some of the songs. But he’s made some very problematic comments."

Kamie then touched on how Taylor had split from longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn mere weeks before her "romance" with Matty Healy was revealed to the world. She said: "She was in a longterm relationship. Then she was in a relationship with someone that wasn’t good. And I think people are skipping over that. I think people are thinking that, like, [Matty] Healy was the rebound guy."
