Everything coming to Netflix in October including David Beckham documentary
Sports fans will be bending the ear of anyone who'll listen that Netflix has a new limited series on David Beckham next month.
The eagerly-anticipated four-parter features a mixture of never-before-seen personal archive footage from the past 40 years, as well as candid current-day moments, and interviews with the family, friends, and footballing figures who have been part of his remarkable journey.
Elsewhere his relationship with Spice Girl Victoria Beckham gets laid bare as the couple confess to trying to keep their romance under wraps, while unsettling footage shows fans turning on David amid a backdrop of intense media scrutiny. He admits: "I wasn't eating, I wasn't sleeping. It took such a toll on me that I never even knew myself."
But if true crime is more your goal, then watch out for The Devil on Trial where, through re-enactments and home videos, this dark documentary investigates the apparent possession of a young boy — and the brutal murder that followed. As we approach Halloween, there's also Sister Death and The Conference to sink your teeth into.
Plus don't forget to catch The Fall of the House of Usher, where maestro of the macabre Mike Flanagan returns with his hotly anticipated Edgar Allan Poe adaptation. This frightening show follows sibling duo Roderick (Bruce Greenwood) and Madeline Usher (Mary McDonnell), who head up their Fortunato Pharmaceuticals empire. Between them they've created an enviable world of wealth, privilege and absolute power — but as ever, at a hefty price.
