Patrick J. Adams, Meghan Markle's co-star on the hit drama Suits, issued an apology after sharing photos from behind the scenes of the television show.

He claims that he took down the photos because they "distracted" from the current SAG-AFTRA strike and didn't mention anything about featuring the current Duchess of Sussex. Patrick posted his apology to his Instagram Story.

"The last couple of days I foolishly and thoughtlessly let a trip down Suits memory lane distract me from the very real and ongoing fight everyone in @sagafstra continues to wage in its effort to win out membership realistic 21st Century compensation and protections," the statement said.

The actor called his posting of the photos "an embarrassing oversight" and said he was "incredibly sorry." The statement continued: "So grateful to those who gently and swiftly course corrected me here and I look forward to continuing the fight in the days and weeks ahead."

Earlier this week, the 42-year-old posted the photos from the set of Suits. These never-before-seen images included other castmates, not just Meghan, but the photos of her seem to have gotten the most attention.

One of the photos had Meghan lying on her back in a white blouse and brown skirt with her feet up in the air near co-star Sarah Rafferty. Another picture was a black and white portrait of the mom of two.

He captioned the now deleted post: "This well is deeeep." His caption and photos prompted fans to think that a Suits reboot was in the works, and Meghan might make a return to acting.

One Instagram user commented: ""Ok I'm convinced suits is coming back because this can't just be nostalgia." Another added: Don't give us hopes. Is Suits coming back? After The Office announced, this feels like a legitimate possibility."

Earlier this week it was announced that the US version of The Office might be created after the Writer's Guild of America strike is over. With that show coming back, fans are eager to have Meghan and her fellow castmates grace their screens again.

Patrick played Mike Ross, the love interest of Meghan's character, paralegal Rachel Zane, on the show. Suits ran for nine seasons between 2011 and 2019, though Meghan's character last appeared in the seventh season in 2018.

Meghan hasn't acted since marrying Prince Harry in 2018, but has made appearances in documentaries and narrated the Disney documentary Elephant in 2020. It's unsure if she'll come back to acting ever again.
