EastEnders fans 'work out' who's helping Theo target Stacey after message clue

EastEnders viewers think a former character could be helping evil Theo Hawthorne to target Stacey Slater on the BBC soap, amid new danger ahead.

Spoilers tease things will take a "shocking" turn next week, months on from Theo targeting Stacey. But if viewers are right, then Theo is not working alone in his campaign against Stacey, who he claims to love. Theo has been harassing her and the police claim they have no evidence to arrest him. From trashing her house, breaking in and sending flowers, Theo has also moved in next door.

Then in a twist this week, Stacey was left reeling as her dead former partner Bradley Branning made contact with her online with a friend request. Of course Stacey knew it couldn't be Bradley, and someone was pretending to be him. Her ex Martin Fowler immediately realised Theo was the culprit and had it out with him.

In that same episode, Theo had created a fake online profile pretending to be Stacey, before sending her SecretCam photos around to people in Walford. But it was the message from dead Bradley that got viewers thinking, with many convinced Theo was not working alone.

Fans were unsure of how Theo knew about Bradley and also were unsure why he would pretend to be the dead character just to get to Stacey. Of all the people to use against her, why Bradley? This move and the friend request left many viewers convinced someone was giving information to Theo, and that this person told Theo about Bradley.

Fans believe Ruby Allen, Stacey's former pal turned enemy, could be helping Theo to target her as revenge over her imprisonment. This might not make sense given Ruby had Stacey wrongly sent to prison over a fall down the stairs, with Ruby claiming she was pushed by love rival Stacey - and so Stacey has likely suffered enough. But Ruby herself was then arrested after being set-up by Stacey's mother Jean in a drug twist.

So would Ruby really want to target Stacey and would she really assist stalker Theo to do so? Viewers certainly think so with one writing on Twitter: "How does theo know about Bradley?! #EastEnders ruby is definitely behind this idc." Another agreed: "This is what makes me think that Theo could be working with Ruby Allen and she could be his "Informer". Theo can't be that clever and isn't working alone. It's more then just idol gossip that Theo is getting this info from."

The comments kept on coming too, with another reading: "I think Ruby has to be behind our Stacey’s hell. Theo wouldn’t know all of this stuff. Especially not about her beloved Bradley. I’m shook." It comes as Theo actor William Ellis exclusively told The Mirror that more danger was on the way for Stacey, and that Theo's reign of terror was far from over. He said: "I think we knew weeks ago when Theo broke into her house that she was in danger. That's been the beauty of the storyline which has been bubbling very slowly.

"We have known the threat level from the off, we've known what he might be capable of from the off and this happens in real life. That's what the show is about, holding a mirror up to everyday situations." He added: "It's that classic case of love and rejection, you don't know how much I love you until I prove it to you. Let me show you just how much I love you by how angry I am." He also discussed the theories fans have come up with about his character, and the big Christmas death.

He said: "Some of the theories I've read online are so wonderful and I'm like, that's such a good idea, I'll take it to Chris [Clenshaw]. There are lots of theories. The truth is stranger than fiction sometimes, it's exciting to be a part of something that is being talked about. It's huge and the fact people are thinking the death could be Theo is a privilege as it shows as an actor I have had an impact, and people are talking about it."
