Strictly's Rose Ayling-Ellis sparks Giovanni Pernice pleas with latest post

Rose Ayling-Ellis' followers are all saying the same thing after her most recent upload on social media, turning conversation to Strictly Come Dancing. After winning alongside Giovanni Pernice, viewers can't help but mention the BBC show.

Fans couldn't stop talking about the pair's relationship as Giovanni partners up with his new co-star, actress Amanda Abbington. Posing up a storm in the solo snap, Rose looked effortlessly chic, wearing a brown leather shirt and nude capris.

"This morning, I put a coat on, and this afternoon, I'm sweating. Last week I wore a summer dress, in the afternoon I'm soaked in the rain," she penned on Wednesday. "I love this look! Perfect for this confusing season time. Stay safe everyone."

Despite saying nothing about Strictly, fans couldn't help but bring up the popular programme, as one wrote: "Wish you and Gio were dancing this year again!" While another added: "Looking amazing as usual, thought about you last Saturday as Strictly opened."

Speaking of Giovanni again, a third chimed in: "I think that as well, only my opinion but I don’t think it’s the same when he dances with anyone else..." While someone else said: "I [know] one day we will all get a nice surprise and her and Gio will put on a show come on you two."

"I think BBC missed out [and] should have made a Rose and Gio programme after they won," commented another user on Rose's Instagram. The post comes after Giovanni spoke out on his partner Amanda's first live dance after rumours circulated that the actress was considering quitting the BBC series.

The Ballroom and Latin dancer praised his partner's performance on Instagram as he told fans how proud he was of the Sherlock actress. Sharing a picture of them on the dance floor last night, Giovanni wrote: "A moment of appreciation for this beautiful frame! @amanda_abbington74 smashed it."

Giovanni and Amanda impressed judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke, earning themselves 29 points and finishing second on the leaderboard. Their success comes after it was reported the BBC show was thrown into chaos as the actress "clashed" with her professional partner and "threatened to quit" the series. Amanda furiously denied she'd fallen out with Giovanni.

A source claimed to The Sun earlier this month: "Giovanni is a hard taskmaster and takes the competition very, very seriously. “Sometimes his manner is incredibly brusque and this can upset his partners. Amanda was really looking forward to dancing with him, but has found his aggressive training style and attitude pretty difficult to handle."

Amongst the 2023 line-up is TV presenters Angela Scanlon and Nikita Kanda and fan-favourite EastEnders star Bobby Brazier. Also in this year's show is actresses Ellie Leach and Amanda Abbington and Family Fortunes presenter Les Dennis.

Paralympian Jody Cundy, well-known news readers Angela Rippon and Krishnan Guru-Murthy and tennis sporting star Annabel Croft is also amongst stars, including Love Island's Zara McDermott and actors Layton Williams, Nigel Harman and Adam Thomas.
