Madonna hails 'remarkable' son David as she parties to celebrate 18th birthday

Madonna proves she’s the maternal girl as she throws a lavish party to celebrate her “remarkable” son David turning 18.

The pop icon, 65, had fun at Manhattan hotspot The Fleur Room on Sunday. David, wearing a smart white tuxedo, danced among a crowd filled with friends and family including younger siblings Mercy James, 17, and 11-year-old twins Stella and Estere.

Madonna gyrated against members of her Celebration Tour team while partying as well as hanging out with 30-year-old boyfriend Josh Popper. Sharing scenes from the event on Instagram, Madonna wrote: “Happy 18th Birthday David Banda! Tribal Name – Senzangakhona.

The star went on lavishing praise, saying: “You are growing into a truly remarkable human being! We are all so proud of you. You light up like the brightest star!” Madonna is now likely to be back in rehearsals for her Celebration Tour, which kicks off at London’s O2 Arena on October 14.
