EastEnders' Sean Slater actor unrecognisable as he begins fitness transformation

Fans of EastEnders may not have seen show favourite Rob Kazinsky in Albert Square for a number of years - and they might pass him in the street without realising due to his hunch transformation.

The 39-year-old soap star first appeared in EastEnders as Sean Slater way back in 2006 and he remained a member of the East London community for three years. In 2019, he made a brief return after a 10 year absence, and again popped up in a single episode in 2021. Rob also shot a video scene in 2022 which was used to show him in the midst of a FaceTime call with one of the other residents.

And while some EastEnders fans might remember him best for his fresh face and spiky strawberry red hair, he has gone a slight make-over since his Albert Square heyday. Rob - who has enjoyed roles in Hollywood action flicks Pacific Rim, Warcraft and Captain Marvel - has clearly been pumping iron and has shaved off his trademark locks to give himself a whole new look.

Taking to Instagram in recent weeks, the TV and film star whipped off his top to show off his impressive figure - and explained that he is planning to whip himself into even more impressive shape in the coming weeks. Rob, who turns 40-years-old in December, promised to take his fans and social media followers with him on his transformation journey.

He wrote alongside a number of photos - and a short video showing him sweating it out in a boxing ring: “You’re gonna be seeing a fair bit more activity over the next few months, and it’s the kind of activity and vanity I steadfastly avoid. Fitness S**t.”

He continued: “Here is day one, my starting off point. I weight 220lbs, I’m at 19.7% body fat. I turn 40 in a few months and one thing I’ve learned is that it’s getting harder and harder every single day to train and recover, I can’t do things like I did in my 20’s, so what’s the plan?”

Hinting that he may have another big budget movie role coming up, he went on: “I have a great job coming up if the strikes come to an end and I’ve decided to get into superhero shape, without drugs, without PEDs, without help, just a 40 year old fat b*****d making do with what I have still going for me. So we will start here as I figure this out. And we will do check ups, and updates and hopefully soon I’ll be able to tell you what it’s for.”

As Rob embarked on his fitness mission, he was met with words of encouragement from his followers. One remarked on his already impressive figure, writing: “Good luck you actually look great.” While another gushed: “Gonna be rooting for you Rob. Get them gains and make some strides!”
