Man, wife and ex all end up on same hospital ward after heart attacks days apart

A heart attack patient was left startled after he realised his wife's former partner was in the hospital bed next to him for the exact same reason.

The patient, named Matías, was resting with his wife Patricia and their family when they spotted a familiar face, Patricia's ex Diego, who had been admitted after enduring a heart attack. The unlikely family reunion took place at the Capilla Hospital in Argentina after the love rivals were rushed to hospital just four days apart.

One relative filmed the awkward moment and explained: "Well, the situation is as follows. Matías, Patricia's current husband, had a heart attack on Friday afternoon. They brought him to the Capilla hospital. Operation. Heart attack, recovered."

The man then points the camera away from Matías and directs it onto his roommate in the next bed. He continued: "Two days later, who arrives? Diego arrives. Diego also had a heart attack on Monday." A male voice off camera asked who Diego was and the man filming replied: "The ex. Diego is Patricia's ex-husband, who now shares a room with Patricia's new husband and Patricia." He then turns the camera towards their son and says: "Here is the son, here is Patricia's and Diego's son."

The cameraman then jokes: "And at any moment, the stepmother Virginia will arrive." Matías can then be seen getting out of bed and giving his roommate a handshake. He tells the camera: "And we get along well. We get along well." Just before the footage ends, the cameraman says: "Well, the novel will continue." The video has since gone viral on social media as users poked fun at Patricia. One person wrote: "A heart-stopping love." Another joked: "They say they're investigating Patricia." "Patricia, the true heartbreaker," a third person said. And a fourth commented: "In the second season, Patricia and Virginia go on a party cruise."
