Meghan Markle's Suits co-star sparks hope for her return to acting with new snap

Meghan Markle's former co-star Patrick J. Adams was met with excitement from fans this week over a potential Suits reunion after sharing photos of her on social media.

There's been renewed interested in the show - which ran from 2011 to 2019 on USA Network - recently, credited to it now being available on streaming services like Netflix. It's even had record-breaking viewing figures on the platform.

The cast starred the now Duchess of Sussex as Rachel Zane. She appeared alongside the likes of Patrick who played her character's love interest Mike Ross. Their co-stars included Gabriel Macht, Rick Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty and Gina Torres.

The resurgence of interest in Suits - four years after it ended - has led to speculation over a potential revival or reunion of the legal drama. Patrick prompted further calls for the cast to reunite by posting photos on his Instagram account.

The actor took to the platform to share a throwback photo of his former co-stars Meghan and Sarah - who played Donna Roberta Paulsen on the show - on the set. He wrote in the caption: "I miss my friends".

The post has amassed more than 130,000 likes on the platform and was met with comments about a potential reunion. One person wrote: "I'm so ready for a Suits reboot." And someone else said: "Let's get the gang back together."

Another person reacted: "Don't give us hopes. Is Suits coming back? After The Office announced, this feels like a legitimate possibility." A fourth said: "I can't believe it, are there new episodes coming?" Another fan questioned: ""Reboot?"

"I miss all of you! Please do another season! Bring Rachel back too," wrote someone else in the comments. Another person responded to the post: "New season please." Whilst another person wrote: "I think it's time for a Suits reboot."

Patrick later shared another post about the show, which included individual black and white photos of some cast members. The post began with a photo of Meghan, before showing other former co-stars Gabriel, Rick, Gina and Max Topplin.

Seemingly continuing his caption from the previous post, Patrick wrote: "Each and everyone of them." The second post attracted more than 155,000 likes and prompted reaction from fans of the show in the comment section.

One person wrote: "Are we talking reboot?" Another speculated similarly, writing: "Something's coming ... isn't it?" A third reacted: "Omggggg are you prompting a reunion." Whilst another person said: "New season? Ooooh yeah!"

Referencing a line from the show, someone wrote in the comments: "Law is a precise endeavour, Patrick. Be clear. The reboot is coming, right?" Another follower said: "All these posts are telling me new season is on its way."

There's been speculation about a possible Suits revival or reunion for a few months. Gene Klein, who was one of the show's executive producers, teased over the possibility during an interview that he did with TVLine back in July.

Asked about a revival in light of the renewed interest, he said: "I've mentioned to [creator and showrunner] Aaron [Korsh] that I keep, in this era of reboots and reunions and all this other stuff, that I'm expecting a call at some point."

The producer suggested it could be difficult getting everyone back for a reunion but said that he would be "delighted" if that happened. He suggested that it might not be "possible" for Meghan to take part in a reunion of sorts.

The show's creator and writer Aaron, 56, hasn't ruled out the possibility either. He tweeted last month: "There is no #Suits reboot or anything in the works. Strike would have to end, some network or streamer would have to reach out and then we would have to collectively want to. Which is no small thing…"
