Former Love Island star Megan Barton-Hanson and Wes Nelson are set to come face to face following their publicly bitter split as the singer signs up to join Megan on the Love Island spin-off, The Games

Megan and Wes appeared to find love on the ITV dating show in 2019 but things soon turned sour for the couple after they split after leaving the villa. But Megan, 29, who has recently been romantically linked with former Towie star Demi Sims, was less than complimentary towards her ex beau Wes. In an interview following their split she described their bedroom antics as "vanilla."

But now, four years later, the pair will be reunited for the new star-studded spin-off show and things are likely to become tense. A source told The Sun: "Wes has signed up for the show and is already filming - it’s going to be explosive when he reunites with Megan as there’s no love lost between them. Plus, he’ll come face to face with Eyal - who he stole Megan off in the villa!”

Both Megan and Wes came fourth in the show but after only six month their relationship did not stand the test of time. Speaking on her split with Wes, Megan took the opportunity to throw jabs at the Nice To Meet Ya singer. Megan previously told Then Sun: "I don’t remember Wes really liking sex toys. In fact he was pretty vanilla in the bedroom, he was only young though bless him, he’s got a lot to learn. Whereas I love playing with sex toys, especially the rabbits. Women masturbating is nothing to be ashamed of, I feel like it’s such a taboo."

But never one to let sleeping dogs lie, Wes hit back saying during a live Facebook chat with the Daily Star: "I don't know, everyone loves vanilla though, right? She said some crazy things, so I just take everything... It doesn't bother me, it really doesn't. I'm vanilla as hell." And if things could not get any worse for the pair, Megan was accused of kidnapping their pet hamster Jon Snow.

The couple had agreed to co-parent their pet but when Wes got back from training for Dancing On Ice, he came home to find Jon Snow gone. But he let the matter drop after he realised that he didn't have the time to properly care for the hamster, alongside the gruelling training regime of the skating show.

At the time of their split, they unfollowed each other on social media and she was also seen trying to scrape his name off a cheese board that had his name on it. Megan later admitted to taking their pet in an interview with OK! saying: "Wes hasn’t even called to find out how he is! I suppose we’ll have to have a custody battle for him!"

And she then added more salt in the wound by saying: "Our ambitions and goals in life are very different - Wes is younger than me and wrapped up in the fame bubble - but I still love him, which is why it hurts so much. I fought and fought and fought for Wes but he doesn’t love me back."
