Corrie's Tina O'Brien puts on positive display after taking aim at Ryan Thomas
Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien has been spotted leaving a supermarket with flowers and a bottle of red wine, just a few weeks after taking a savage swipe at ex-boyfriend Ryan Thomas.
The 40-year-old actress, who is best known for playing Sarah Platt on the iconic ITV soap, was photographed in Manchester recently after a shopping trip. Wearing a cropped grey hoodie with cargo pants and white Nike sneakers, the soap icon looked casually chic as she walked through the carpark with her treats in tow.
Tina hit headlines earlier this month after sharing a now-deleted post about the "tyrannical narcissistic father" on Instagram, leading to widespread speculation that she was referring to her former partner and fellow Corrie alum, Ryan Thomas – who she shares daughter Scarlett with.
"Thankfully not my dad...but a dad that I know very well...deeply resonates," the former Waterloo Road star captioned the quote, which defines the narcissist as "a bully" and "a cruel, lying arrogant person" who is "totally entrenched in his grandiose world and insistent that everyone follow his commands." The scathing description also warns that the narcissist's "emotionally abusive" behaviour can damage the relationships within a family unit, causing "lifelong wounds" to its affected members.

They broke up in 2009, just 13 months after the birth of their daughter, Scarlett. Tina later told new! magazine that she was left "devastated" by their separation, revealing that their relationship had collapsed after Ryan "said he didn't love me any more."

Tina found love again Adam Crofts, welcoming a son named Beau in 2014 with the businessman before marrying him on New Year's Eve in 2018. It's understood Tina's relationship with Ryan remains strained and that the pair barely speak today because of their "fractious" relationship. Things reportedly took a major turn for the worst last year when, in March 2022, Ryan accused Tina of smashing a car wing mirror with a bat during a row at 1am.
"Tina, who was at a pal’s house party, came out into the street to meet him as he drove up. Soon after that his car was damaged with the baseball bat," a source told the Sun at the time.
Ryan has been dating Lucy Mecklenburgh since 2017, after meeting the TOWIE star on the second series of Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls. They became engaged in 2019 and share two children together.
