Lauren Goodger is said to be gearing up to make a return to TOWIE, seven years after her exit.

The reality TV star, 36, could be making a comeback to the ITV show after first appearing back in 2010. She was on The Only Way is Essex for two years, before returning once more in 2016 for a brief stint. The show helped launch her TV career as she went onto appear in Celebrity Big Brother, Dancing on Ice and Celebs Go Dating. Now it seems Lauren is ready to make another comeback, as she feels "it's the right time".

She was recently spotted out with current cast member Junaid Ahmed, sending fans into a frenzy. Many speculated she was going back to her roots after enjoying a meal with Junaid. A source close to Lauren shared: “She would consider going back this time. It would be a bit of a shock for viewers, but she’s getting a lot of love at the moment."

"It would be so exciting to see her on the show as she is now – as a single mum back out in the dating world," they told OK!. When she was still on the show in 2012, Lauren toldthe Mirrorhow she felt insecure about her looks. At the time, she said she "felt under so much pressure" as "most of the girls on TOWIE are quite skinny and could wear what the hell they wanted".

She continued: "We all had different body shapes, and I’m not being horrible, but I don’t like boob jobs or even want to be really thin. I just want to keep my curves and be a little more toned. But, next to the others, I’d be panicking over whether my arms looked fat or how big I’d look if I was sitting down."

Earlier this year, there were reports TOWIE wanted Lauren back to "spice things up". "TOWIE are always in talks with former cast mates with a view to bringing them back and Lauren is top of their wish list," an insider explained. "She's had chats with producers and while she hasn't signed on the dotted line yet, the door is definitely wide open for her to come back."

They added to The Sun: "Lauren would be the big star of the show if she was to return, and Amy Childs' comeback proved a huge hit with viewers, so watch this space."

Junaid's snap with Lauren at Sheesh Restaurant in Chigwell also sparked reunion rumours. He captioned the post: "My girly @Laurengoodger", with Lauren responding to the post with a heart emoji. Fans were left rejoicing at their meeting and expressed how they were keen to see Lauren back on their screens. A fan wrote: wrote: "Lauren back in towie would be great", while a second added: "My two actual TOWIE faves". A third fan of the star commented: "WE NEED HER BACK IN TOWIE!!!!"

Lauren previously dated her TOWIE co-star Mark Wright for ten years before the pair split in 2012. She then dated builder and football player Charles Drury. The couple who share daughter Larose together sadly lost their second child Lorena last year two days after welcoming her to the world. The same month her ex-boyfriend Jake McLean also tragically died in a car crash after losing control of the vehicle in Turkey.
