Strictly's Nancy Xu breaks silence after bloody neck injury as fans air concern
Strictly Come Dancing professional Nancy Xu has spoken out after shocking fans with a bloody injury to her neck after dancing with Les Dennis.
Eagle-eyed viewers saw the dancer, 32, clutching her neck as she walked up the Strictly staircase to be interviewed following her first live performance. Ever the professional, Nancy then spoke to host Claudia Winkleman and received feedback from the judges while dabbing the blood running down at her chin and neck with a tissue.
Continuing to put on a brave face the morning after - despite her nasty injury and falling bottom of the leaderboard - Nancy returned to social media with a hopeful comment.
Sharing a picture of her and Les in action from Saturday night, Nancy penned: "That's week one done. Hope we did bring a bit of smile on your face."
Fans immediately began to share their best wishes and ask Nancy about her injury.

Strictly viewers spotted blood tricking from Nancy's ear immediately after her Tango with Les Dennis (BBC)"Hope your neck is okay after it was bleeding," one reached another. "What happened to your neck, hope you are ok," asked a second. While many others shared positive messages to Nancy and her partner Les claiming they hoped to see them stick around in the competition despite some of the judges critiques.
Fellow professional dancer Karen Hauer also shared her support by posting a series of applauding emojis.
Despite going down a storm with viewers at home, Nancy and Les got the series off to a rough start with the judges as they wound up bottom of the leaderboard for their Tango to Don't You Want Me by Human League.
Things went from bad to worse for Nancy who appeared to be sporting a cut to her neck - that did not go unnoticed by viewers at home.
Nancy did not comment on the injury and silently leaving fans to speculate what had happened.
"What happened to Les' hand? I saw blood also on Nancy's neck does anybody know?" posted one viewer on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Ahead of the live show, les said: “I had a knee replacement two years ago and I remember thinking to myself, ‘it may be time to slow down’, but you get something offered like this and it puts a spring in your step.
