Roman Hackett has broken his silence, opening up for the first time about the 'vicious' argument which he had with Chloe Brockett and led to his cast mate's suspension.

The Only Way Is Essex star Roman, 21, opened up about the argument with Chloe and revealed what started the row, after Chloe allegedly threw three glasses at him during a brutal argument while filming for the ITVBe reality series.

Roman and Chloe's alleged row and the 22-year-old's suspension was said to be "the talk of Essex" and filming was halted before Chloe was reportedly told she was suspended for the rest of the season.

A TOWIE spokesperson later confirmed the influencer "would not be returning to filming for the remainder of the series" – but Chloe has since claimed she does make a comeback to TOWIE.

Following the row, Roman remained silent on the matter. But the TV star has now spoken out in an exclusive interview with the Mirror. Speaking at the official launch dinner of the new series of TOWIE, Roman said: "I can't say too much... it was mainly over the fact that I still had feelings for Dani that was why it got a bit escalated. That's all I can say on it, I can't say... as much as I want to, I can't say..."

Last season saw a brief love triangle between Roman, Chloe and Dani Imbert – where Roman locked lips with Chloe during a trip to Thailand, and later lied about it to Dani, 25, and pursued a romance with her. The kiss was later exposed and Roman made it clear he had his sights set on Dani – not Chloe.

And Roman has hinted the love triangle sparked the row between himself and Chloe. He added of how things are between himself and Chloe now: "Listen I don't hate Brockett, it's not one of those things. It's like, yeah we had an argument and all that other stuff, but once she done the other stuff it's like for me, I'm thinking, 'Yeah I done you dirty, I mugged you off in a sense so you can be angry but...'"

The reality star continued: "I would've forgiven her if it weren't for what happened. Where that's happened it's like... we're just... we can't be civil really. I still... she's a nice girl, she's a nice girl but she has her fiery side and when that fiery side comes out... f**king hell. I don't hate her. I haven't spoke to her since we had an argument and I think if I was to see her I'd chat to her but is it worth it? No I don't think so."

This series of the ITVBe reality show is tipped to be the most explosive ever, a statement which Roman agreed with.

When asked on claims this series is the most explosive ever, Roman said: "I'd agree. As you saw from the first episode, for the first episode to be so fiery is just... You've got so much going on and they're still 10 episodes. In those 10 episodes there's loads of drama. The first one is obviously Brockett with the girls but that drags on for a while, then you've got Brockett and me, Dan and Amber, Ella and Dani – there's so much drama in this series it just... It come out of nowhere, no one expected it to be as fiery as it was.

"It's like the old TOWIE, 100%," he added before declaring. "It's back, it's back to what it used to be like. It's refreshing, very refreshing because everyone just feels like... it's very real, everyone's been so honest, which is why there are arguments because they're just telling people how it is and how you should be acting – people don't like it when you tell them how to act, that's when the drama always comes. As you'll see towards the end of the series it just kicks off constantly."
